FUTURE LEADERS

Future Leaders is a customised industry-led programme which addresses a variety of critical business issues that represent both the major internal and external factors influencing the future growth of our sector. This week long leadership development programme takes place at the IESE Business School in Barcelona, ranked number 1 in the world for Executive Education Programmes and Custom Programmes by the Financial Times for the past five years.

Next programme date: Monday 13th July – Friday 17th July 2020

PROGRAMME

The programme incorporates a number of interactive and dynamic learning methods including case studies, executive challenges, a 100 day plan, 1-2-1 coaching and a 360 degree evaluation, as well as networking. From these beneficial learning and development opportunities attendees will leave the course with new perspectives, skills and connections to progress their own personal careers.
After the residential programme has come to an end the Future Leaders Alumni will receive an exclusive invite to join our Communities of Learning digital platform which supports ongoing conversations, ignites discussions, provides support and give advice. Materials used throughout the programme, and relevant IESE research will be hosted here as well as invitations to alumni events and opportunities.

CASE DISCUSSIONS

IESE prepares a thought-provoking case study for each day of the programme which allows the Future Leaders to discuss relevant challenges from other industries. In selected groups, a forum of debate is created, allowing candidates to understand how to summarise issues and make decisions.

EXECUTIVE CHALLENGES

Future Leaders prepare a presentation, which is based on a challenge they are facing within their role, in advance of the programme. This will be presented to a select group of peers to gain valuable insight and feedback about how to address and develop a specific area of the company’s business plan.

100 DAY PLAN

The Future Leaders produce a 100 day plan at the end of the programme to ensure that the valuable lessons are put into practice on return to the workplace. Each candidate writes a letter to themselves With this plan which they receive 100 days after the programme. This offers an opportunity to reflect on their own 100 day plan, review what they have achieved and learn from the challenges they faced which often proves to be a valuable learning experience.

1-2-1 COACHING & 360° EVALUATION

To maximise their learning experience, participants will carry out a 360° leadership profile evaluation prior to the programme. The results of the evaluation, which includes anonymous online feedback from colleagues, are discussed confidentially with coaches and provide the groundwork for a personal action plan designed to enhance managerial and leadership skills.

NETWORKING

Having the opportunity to network with a variety of industry colleagues from other organisations, away from the normal working environment has proven to be incredibly valuable for many programme alumni. Previous delegates have developed great working relationships, developed new business opportunities for their organisations with other ukactive members and established mentoring scenarios with fellow Future Leaders.
