Current responsibilities include: Leading the Executive team and working with the Chair, Board, ukactive members, partners and stakeholders to shape where it goes in the future.
Background: Steven started working in the world of sports, health and physical activity policy the week after London won the rights to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games after completing a first class degree in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds. One year later, after returning to Leeds to complete a Master's Degree in Research, Steven joined ukactive, initially as an intern researcher within the Public Affairs and Policy Team. Steven rose through the ranks of that team, becoming first manager and then Director of the Department, before taking up the position of Development Director in 2012. In April 2015 he was appointed as Executive Director as successor to outgoing CEO David Stalker. In his time with ukactive, Steven helped shape the rebrand from the FIA to ukactive, strengthen ukactive's ties to key partners such as the Department of Health and Sport England, and drove ukactive's partnership's with major brands. In his period with ukactive Steven has been a part of the team which has grown the size of its membership base by 42%, grown its staff team by 77% and increased its turnover by 592% whilst maintaining a strict focus on its core mission. In 2014 Steven and the policy team were awarded the 2014 Public Affairs Award for Trade Association Campaign of the Year in recognition of driving almost £40m of additional investment into tackling inactivity at local authority public health team level. He is a policy expert on all matters relating to the promotion of physical activity for health and is a prominent media commentator on the subject, regularly appearing in publications such as the Telegraph, Times and Guardian newspapers. He has also spoken on numerous occasions on both Radio and TV, appearing on the BBC and ITV, as an expert advocate for the physical activity sector.
Keeping active: Outside the office, Steven has built a career in amateur football, taking to the pitches of Watford whenever family commitments allow. A keen fitness fan, he is often trying out new classes and concepts so he can be up to date with the trends impacting the industry and visit as many ukactive members as possible, as well as currently studying for his Level 3 PT Diploma with Future Fit. Ever committed to the cause, he even holiday's actively with his ideal break involving a minimum of five hours of training per day, which he claims his recently acquired Muay Thai "skills" earned in Thailand can prove.

Current Responsibilities include: Responsibility of all membership management, events, marketing and quality and standards. This role follows on from a highly successful sales and marketing career in the health and fitness sector.
Background: Geraldine started her career as a Fitness Instructor in central London. Since then, she has worked for operators on a local and regional basis, before taking up national roles with key fitness suppliers.
At Technogym, Geraldine demonstrated strong results and success in developing new business opportunities as well as bringing innovative business solutions to established clients. More recently at D2F, she led a young team forward to deliver against new business sales targets, as well as manage all marketing and brand representation.
Keeping Active: Geraldine is passionate about health and fitness as well as being a keen tennis player and fell walker, particularly in the Lake District, a part of the country that she loves.

Current responsibilities: Craig is responsible for Membership Sales within ukactive. Tasked with expanding the number of ukactive members in a wide range of sectors, Craig also oversees membership retention and renewals as well as ensuring membership packages remain up-to-date and relevant.
Background: Having graduated from the University of Stirling with a Business degree, Craig moved straight into a Sales Manager role at Kukri Sports. Based in South West London, Craig was responsible for sales within sports clubs at grass root level, as well as establishing partnerships with some of the biggest schools and Universities in the UK.
Keeping active: Craig loves staying active whether it is on the rugby pitch, on the golf course or exploring the outdoors.

Head of Key Accounts

Current responsibilities include: Pete is responsible for managing and developing standards within the sector. These include the management of the ukactive Code of Practice and Health Commitment Statement as well as Health and Safety for operators. Another role which Pete has been integral to is making sure that ukactive members are up to date with any change in legislation that may affect them, such as the upcoming changes in PPL.
Background: Pete had a year out after finishing his Sport and Leisure management degree before starting at the FIA (as it was).
Keeping active: Pete is a keen racket sports player, but believes that his best days may be behind him after a string of injuries. Pete still enjoys playing racket sports, as well as football and attending the gym. He is also the undefeated ukactive office badminton champion.
Events and Marketing Manager

Current responsibilities: Sinead has worked on all of ukactive's flagship events. As Events and Marketing Manager, Sinead is responsible for the delivery of the physical activity sector's first accelerator; ActiveLab and the sector's largest policy conference; National Summit, as well as the marketing of all ukactive events.
Background: Sinead has a background delivering events within festivals, arts and heritage. She's worked on music festivals; Field Day, Apple Cart & Underage and community lead festivals; York Carinal, Illuminating York & Tour de Yorkshire. Sinead has a degree in Music Technology from the University of York, where she is a fellow for her contribution to marketing and events. Sinead's interest in the physical activity sector stems from seven years as a sales supervisor in community pharmacy - where it's easy to see how important preventative action is needed.
Keeping active: Sinead had a fluke run as captain of her university volleyball team, but now spends her days walking to explore London and in the gym, especially at peak times of stress!
Digital Communications Consultant

Current Responsibilities include: Providing critical support to ukactive's Marketing and Communications team, acting as the communications frontline for the organisation internally and externally. The post holder is responsible for the design of core ukactive brand collateral across platforms, is the lead on social media implementation to support ukactive's priority initiatives and ensures the smooth running of ukactive's day-to-day press office function.

Dr Steven Mann
Current Responsibilities: Steven Mann's research focuses upon the delivery, feasibility and effectiveness of physical activity promoting interventions delivered from within community environments. As part of this role Steven has published articles providing exercise recommendations for use in the prevention and management of type two diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Steven has led project get ukactive, an investigation aimed at assessing the effectiveness of three different physical activity and exercise interventions in comparison to a control group. Over 1200 participants aged between 30 and 50 years have been involved in the project, across 26 locations in the United Kingdom. Data collection was completed at 0, 24 and 48 weeks and includes measures such as; cholesterol, blood pressure, body composition and cardiorespiratory fitness.
Currently Steven is completing the evaluation of Let's get moving back into in Luton and Bedfordshire, is part of the evaluation team assessing the impact and sustainabilty of Coca Cola Zero's Parklives initiative, and is developing a pilot study to investigate the feasibilty of delivering fitness testing in primary schools.
Steven's research has been presented at the American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting, European College of Sports Science Annual Congress and the International Congress on Physical Activity and Public Health.

Current responsibilities: Matthew is part of the ukactive Research Institute providing support to various projects.
Background: Matthew studied as an undergraduate at the University of Gloucestershire obtaining a degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences and went on to study for a Masters degree in the same subject at Cardiff Metropolitan University focusing on biomechanics. During this time Matthew undertook several research projects investigating the biomechanics of the sprint start, presenting his findings at the BASES Student Conference.
Keeping active: Matthew follows a variety of sports. His main sport is football and plays when he can and is a keen runner.
Strategic Projects Director

Current responsibilities: Overseeing ukactive's strategic projects function which delivers work across health, major brands and research.
Background: Prior to joining ukactive, Will spent the previous decade in the management consultancy industry and predominately at Deloitte, where he specialised in delivering programme leadership across global major events and in the public and private sectors. He spent almost three years seconded to the London 2012 organising committee, where he was responsible for planning, executive-level stakeholder management and reporting and governance of the Games. He also worked in the Middle East planning and implementing strategic programme management for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Keeping active: Will is a keen runner, ran his first marathon in 2014 and can be seen on most Saturday mornings chugging around Richmond Park. He also likes to swim, cycle and play a bit of tennis and golf.
Health and Wellbeing Manager

Current responsibilities include: A qualified physiotherapist, he manages and develops ukactive's health and wellbeing projects including the flagship programme called Let's Get Moving. He is responsible for the external growth of this key physical activity programme, the face-to-face interaction with stakeholders and the community exercise professionals delivering the programme in GP surgeries, corporations and other settings.
Background: Kenny is British-Canadian and has been a clinician in the USA, UK and Canada including touring the world with the Canadian Rugby team. He brings his combined clinical and business skills - as an entrepreneur in the physiotherapy world having created a chain of high-street physiotherapy clinics and an extensive network of corporate physiotherapy clinics.
Keeping active: Practicing what he preaches here at ukactive, he runs and plays a 'Dads Kickabout' football league, is a keen walker, especially around his treasured London, loves live music, cycles and dabbles with Tennis.
Public Affairs and Policy Manager

His role includes research, tracking and monitoring of sector specific government policy and the delivery and management of external events including set piece national and regional events, policy roundtables and themed focus groups
Background: Before joining ukactive Geremy worked for renowned market research agency Ipsos MORI, working on accounts for numerous large multinational organisations in addition to working on smaller UK based projects. Geremy holds a degree in History and Politics from the university of Reading and in early 2014 obtained the MRS Society Advanced Certificate in Market & Social research.

Public Affairs and Policy Officer

Current Responsibilities include: Jon is responsible for maintaining ukactive's presence in Parliament - regularly engaging with Ministers, MPs, policy makers and other stakeholders to ensure getting more people, more active is a priority for Government. He also assists with all aspects of ukactive's public affairs and policy work, which includes monitoring Parliament for activity relevant to ukactive's remit, drafting policy reports and contributing to their stakeholder engagement strategies.
Background: Jon joined ukactive after working in the public affairs departments of two charities, having graduated with a first class degree in Politics from the University of Reading.
Keeping Active: As well as regularly cycling to work and jogging when he can, Jon has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Having returned to work from maternity leave in Jan 2013, she loves how the ukactive brand has breathed new life into the office.

Background: Recent graduate from The University of Greenwich where she studied BA (Hons) Public Relations and Communications, graduated in July 2014. Kudzai previously worked as an IBA Clerk for the Bluefin group who are an insurance broking company; during her time there she managed and reconciled the Axa Insurance account with the Bluefin Statement.
Keeping Active: When there is time Kudzai likes to jog and walk around as often as possible, she loves to dance most of her favourite workout and fitness routines always involve lots dancing.

So far the programme has supported over 3,500 people across Luton & Beds, Birmingham, Kent & Essex and aims to reach many other communities and settings.
Background: Previous to this, Sinead worked at Virgin Active Health Clubs managing multi-million-pound national equipment roll outs and gym floor layout alterations.
Keeping active: Sinead walks around 20 miles every week (commuting and pushing her little boy about), while also managing to squeeze in cross fit and boxing classes at my local gym

Jade coordinates numerous SPG accounts, helps to deliver events, and wrote ukactive’s Blueprint for an Active Britain: Milestone Review.
Background: Jade joined ukactive after working for a local MP. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first class master’s degree in International Politics, and completed a year studying abroad at the University of Queensland, Australia. Keeping active: Jade plays netball, and goes to spinning and yoga classes on a weekly basis.
Head of Communications

Current responsibilities: Leading the Communications Department in elevating the work of ukactive and its members across all media channels to add weight and momentum to the physical activity agenda.
Background: Prior to joining ukactive, Jak worked as a journalist for six years across a range of local, national, international and trade titles including TIME Magazine, VICE, The Luton News and Health Club Management. He also spent 18 months in Hanoi working for the Viet Nam News, as well as freelancing for several Western titles, copywriting and presenting a Vietnamese TV show. He has a First-Class degree in Journalism and is currently studying to become a Level 3 Personal Trainer with Future Fit Training.
Keeping active: Jak's first loves are football and cricket. In winter, he is a no-nonsense centre-back and in spring he blossoms into a mercurial opening batsman. Throughout the year Jak is a regular gym bunny and dreams of one day being able to do a proper squat. He doesn't like it when gym people say ‘Smashed it'.

Current Responsibilities include: Luke is responsible for internal member communications, including writing the daily morning media review and the weekly Monday Minute. He maintains the press hub, including calendar, clippings and video content. He also assists the Head of Communications, drafting press releases, blog articles and other content, while helping liaise with the media to ensure as much coverage of ukactive as possible.
Background: Luke joined ukactive very soon after finishing university, having graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2:1 in Politics and International Relations. He spent the summer of 2015 at an internship at HM Treasury, working as a policy advisor.
Keeping Active: Luke can often be found marauding up and down the left-wing, playing regular football with his School Old Boys team. Aside from being a football fanatic, Luke also enjoys visiting the gym often (sometimes with his manager), and is a dab hand with the drop shot, spending much of his summers playing tennis with friends.

Background: Emma joined ukactive very soon after finishing university, having graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a 2:1 in Politics with Business Management. Whilst at university, she did an internship in a theatre production company called PW Productions Ltd. and worked as a Community Facilitator for the NCS (National Citizenship Service).
Keeping Active: Emma has a passion for dance and enjoys pilates as well as spin classes. At University she won the UK Nationals alongside her cheerleading team and was part of the Snowsports society.

Current responsibilities: I am responsible for leading our children and young people agenda, working with the Senior Leadership team, the Executive team, the Board, ukactive members and stakeholders to get more children, more active, more often!
Background: Since graduating in Sport Psychology at the University of South Wales, I have committed the past decade to working within the children's physical activity sector, championing the benefits of physical activity and raising the awareness and prominence of physical literacy. I have spent the last 10 years developing and implementing multi-stakeholder physical activity campaigns and projects for children and young people, working nationally and internationally to activate school and community environments. An outdoor adventure pursuer and keen trail runner, I am a public advocate of physical activity and it's societal importance.
Keeping active: My favourite way to keep active when I'm at home is to go trail running around the Leicestershire countryside and when I get a chance around family time, I like to put all I need in a backpack and climb up and down mountains!

Current responsibilities: My role as Creative Director is to develop our strategy so we are creative in our approaches and enhance our delivery to the sector.
Background: I'm very lucky to have been involved in some wonderful projects over the years. From Restaurants, Retail and Commercial it has been a great journey.
I have been able to work with some of the best creatives across the different sectors to deliver some stunning results. Working as a solution partner to a major fitness equipment supplier made me realise I had a passion for the Fitness Industry. Being on the IESE Future Leaders Programme confirmed this and working at the ukactive means I will only be able to deepen this connection.
Keeping active: I love to keep active with my family attending the local trampoline parks and walking through the woods. Boxing, Tough Mudder events and mountain climbs are what I enjoy training for. My preferred training is anything functional and forms is my favourite area in any fitness facility.

Current responsibilities: Responsible for leading funding opportunities and developing strategic partnerships to tackle the nations inactivity levels.
Background: Lara has extensive experience within health, wellbeing and physical activity. Lara trained as a secondary school PE teacher at Liverpool University, she taught for a while in the North East before being appointed to the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA). Amongst other areas, she headed up Health and Wellbeing and was responsible for developing strategy and building influential partnerships to improve the quality of life for people with health conditions and contribute to the public health of the population.
Lara is also a member of the European Women and Sport Board responsible for promoting leadership and gender equality for women in sport.
Keeping active: Lara has great enthusiasm for many sports particularly swimming and going to the gym. She also loves walking, cycling and canoeing in the Lake District. Lara spends a lot of her free time on poolside as a volunteer official for swimming.

Background: As a BSc Sport Science graduate in 1996, Phil immediately joined the Racquets and Healthtrack Group, working through the ranks Fitness Instructor, PT, Supervisor and Duty Manager.
Phil joined Technogym as Technogym/Wellness System master trainer and then went onto manage the Wellness System for 10years
Phil became Health, Corporate and Public Director from Technogym over the following four years, before in 2013 joining Spire Healthcare, leading their Perform sport medicine brand based at The FA's St. George's Park.
Phil likes spending time with family, they keep him very much on his toes. He also enjoys running, tennis, football, and heading to the gym.
Strategic Partnership Group - Account Management Lead

Current responsibilities: Working with the SPG team to support members that need support & strategic input into their organisation.
Background: Graduated with a degree in Sports, Exercise and Coaching Science but have since gone onto to manage Client Services departments across a variety of sectors including, tourism, events, expeditions, education and customer service.
Keeping Active: I am an open water marathon swimmer and have completed solo swims such as the English Channel, Straits of Gibraltar, two way Windermere 21 mile swim to name a few. I also enjoy the outdoors generally and have climbed Kilimanjaro, spent a month trekking and exploring Mongolia and even taken a group of school kids on expedition to Mexico.

Current Responsibilities: Harriett works as part of the ukactive projects team and is responsible for the management and reporting of our physical activity campaign partnerships. This includes our involvement in Public Health England's Change4Life and One You campaigns and the smooth running and growth of National Fitness Day. She is also responsible for the relationship and wider work with Argos around their Healthy Living Strategy.
Background: Harriett studied Sport and Fitness Management at the University of Chichester and went on to run projects in partnership with Comic Relief using sport and activity as a tool for social change. She joined ukactive from Gold Challenge where she worked extensively with NGBs, local authorities and corporates such as GlaxoSmithKline and BP Ltd on their employee physical activity programmes.
Keeping active: Harriett is a keen cyclist and netball player and has set herself the challenge of taking on a Triathlon in 2017!

Background: A Cambridge graduate and Pricewaterhouse Coopers trained chartered accountant, Leah has previously held senior finance roles at Intercontinental Hotels Group and Sony Playstation before finding her calling in the sports sector with a CV full of major sports events experiences including the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, Baku 2015 European Games, and England 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Keeping active: Leah is an Age Group GB Triathlete and Ironman competitor with extensive experience of working within the industry as a Personal Trainer and Les Mills group exercise instructor with the likes of Virgin Active, Nuffield, and Fitness First.
Junior Account Executive

Current responsibilities: The purpose of his role is to deliver the ukactive sales plan for all membership facing activity as directed by the Membership Manger. Other key responsibilities involve working with members to fully utilise their membership and assisting in delivering ukactive campaigns with other ukactive departments and the membership base which includes health and fitness operators, suppliers, training partners, individuals and many broader stakeholders.
Background: Jamel graduated from St Mary's University College in Sports Science and Management Studies. His previous roles include retail roles, a spell as estate agent and numerous teaching and coaching positions roles.
Keeping active: As ‘Action Man' reincarnated Jamel enjoys most forms of physical activity, in particular football, boxing, rock climbing and snowboarding.

Current Responsibilities: Leanne is responsible for providing support to the ukactive projects team on existing projects, new proposals and our campaigns including planning and scheduling, content development and delivering key project outputs. A key part of Leanne's role is the stakeholder management for Coca-Cola GB's ParkLives project across 10 cities in the UK.
Background: Leanne returned to the UK from Jamaica in 2014 after graduating from the University of the West Indies with a degree in Management Studies. While studying she worked in Customer Service and co-founded a Recycling company called Island Cycle which she grew with the support of the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship. This is where she gained her first practical experience in project management, taking the lead on a number of projects which lead to working with UNESCO and being a recipient of the Arthur Guinness Fund Award for driving positive change in Jamaica. Upon returning to the UK, Leanne worked as a Project Coordinator at a counselling agency before joining ukactive.
Keeping Active: Leanne is obsessed with Latin dancing (previous salsa instructor) and is always keen on learning different styles of dance. She also loves hiking, yoga and a good gym session!
Let's Get Moving Co-ordinator

Current responsibilities: As a Senior LGM Coordinator, Georgia is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Let's Get Moving programme.
Background: In 2015, Georgia completed an MA in English Literature: Issues in Modern Culture at UCL. During her MA, Georgia coordinated and delivered a project that aimed to educate adults with learning disabilities about health and wellbeing.
Keeping Active: At 1.10pm every weekday you'll find Georgia sitting on a bike at Boom Cycle, ready to spin her heart out. Georgia never fails to return to the office with a lobster-red face and sweat-soaked hair - much to the delight of her colleagues! Georgia also likes to mix it up with gym classes and some outdoor running.
Let's Get Moving Co-ordinator

Current responsibilities: I am a project coordinator for the day to day running of the Let's Get Moving service, responsible for placing exercise professionals in GP surgeries so that they are available for patients who wish to do a bit more activity or exercise. This involves arranging appointments and promoting the service, as well as managing the surgeries and working with the Community Exercise Professionals to ensure the service is delivered to the highest standard.
Background: I recently graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a degree in History and Politics. During my time at university I was actively involved with both the Snow Sports and Cheerleading societies, helping to promote the ‘This Girl Can' campaign on campus.
Keeping active: I love running and have been involved in athletics since school, competing at both county and national levels. Being naturally quite competitive I also enjoy team sports and since joining ukactive have become slightly addicted to going to Boom during my lunch break.
Let's Get Moving Co-ordinator

Current responsibilities: Coordinate and promote the ‘Let's Get Moving' service in various participating surgeries in the country.
Background: BA Arabic and International Relations and MA Conflict Resolution. Have enjoyed work abroad (Germany, France and Australia) and have experience in research, communications and in the non-profit sector.
Keeping Fit: Louisa has got hooked to Boom Cycle since joining Ukactive and goes on most of her lunch breaks. Since living in London, she has joined a local netball team and competes with them once a week. Louisa is from a northern town near the Lake District, so naturally enjoys the great outdoors and going for country walks.
Events Assistant- Operations

Current responsibilities: Managing, monitoring and driving ticket sales for events. Event management from building agenda to running events.
Background: Graduated from the University of Bath in June 2016 in Ba Hons Sports and Social Science.
Keeping active:- I play hockey twice a week for a local team near me, I also love to go spinning.

Current Responsibilities: Helen is responsible for the development and delivery of ukactive's conferences and awards.
Background: Helen has over five years' international events management experience. Her professional profile includes events with significant political and social importance such as the NATO Summit Wales and the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict and large scale community and sporting events such as the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Helen has delivered a multitude of events in global locations including Buenos Aires, New York, Paris, Addis Ababa, Rio de Janeiro, Bogota, Copenhagen, Melbourne and Amman. Prior to ukactive she worked for the Victorian Government in Melbourne Australia working on developing a treaty agreement with the Aboriginal Community in Victoria and was responsible for managing community engagement activities and events.
Keeping Active: Helen loves functional HIIT sessions and is a regular member attending six times a week. Over the last six months she has swapped her regular gym classes for boutique fitness sessions and is an addict of anything functional - her love for resistance training far outweighs cardio.
Current responsibilities: I work on project budget reconciliations and department reconciliations, while also managing budgets, the purchase ledger and monitoring the bank balance.
Background: Graduated with a degree in Accounting and Finance from University of Plymouth, currently studying further towards ACCA.
Keeping Active:I play Cricket and football on a regular basis, also I do enjoy playing any other sport such as badminton, table tennis, squash, Basketball and Volleyball. These are a few sport I'm good at but I also enjoy Martial Arts.

Current responsibilities include: Dominic is responsible for supporting the delivery and reach of the ukactive brand across various platforms, events and campaigns.
Background: Dominic graduated with an English degree from Bournemouth University in 2016 where he focused a lot of his studies on digital design when possible, getting one of his book cover designs published for the Fresher Writing Prize 2016. Dominic has worked in the leisure and fitness industry for GLL and Everyone Active as a lifeguard and as a leisure assistant before and during university prior to joining the ukactive team.
Keeping active: Dominic is a second dan blackbelt in Tae-Kwon-Do and goes to the gym 5-6 days a week.

Current responsibilities include: Working as part of the ukactive Research Institute to manage data collection, organisation and analysis processes across a variety of projects covering the full body of ukactive.
Background: Prior to joining ukactive I worked at Conde Nast Publications within the subscriptions department, where I was responsible for managing and processing data coming into the department and producing reporting and analysis off the back of this. I studied Economics at the University of Nottingham with a final year focus on Health Economics.
Keeping active: In my spare time I am on the Great Britain marathon kayaking team so can usually be found training on the river, running, or in the gym.

Current Responsibilities: Haley is responsible for providing HR support to ukactive staff, and continually improving HR systems and processes. This includes managing recruitment, updating policies and procedures and maintaining HR information systems.
Background: Haley recently graduated from the University of Leicester with a degree in BSc Psychology. Having worked part time as an administrator at university and volunteering as a Training Coordinator over the summer, she decided to pursue a career in HR.
Keeping Active: Haley enjoys going to the gym and particularly loves strength and weight training. She also likes to blog about health, wellbeing and beauty.
Public Affairs Director

Background: Huw joined ukactive from British Tennis where he had been the Public Affairs lead for 3 years. This period saw Huw lead British Tennis' engagement with Government and wider stakeholders on its programmes to drive participation levels within the sport. Before then he worked for both the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and Olympic Delivery Authority during the delivery of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. His Government role saw him head a team that developed and delivered the Government Ministerial engagement programmes across both the Olympic and Paralympics. His 5 years at the ODA focused on managing the relationship with both government and business stakeholders as part of the construction of the Olympic Park. He also worked for the GLA and was Senior Advisor to the Mayor's Economic Director, supporting the GLA's engagement with the London business community.
Keep Active: Huw keeps active by going to the gym, walking, and playing cricket.

Current Responsibilities include: Tim joined as a Research Assistant before quickly progressing to become a Data Analyst. Tim works alongside ukactive's Data and Insight Manager, contributing to data collection, organisation and analysis processes across the full body of ukactive, whilst utilising and developing his knowledge of numerical programming. His expertise includes using Matlab and advanced excel to analyse large data sets, producing customer insight analysis.
Background: Tim studied Engineering Science (MEng) at Oxford University, graduating in 2015 having also worked at the Lindum Group as an Administration Assistant over the summer from 2013-2015.
Senior Research Co-ordinator

Current Responsibilities: Rachel joined ukactive as a Project Coordinator for the Strategic Partnership Unit in September 2015, before moving to the Research Institute in April 2016. As a Senior Research Coordinator she leads on the day-to-day management of research projects and programmes.
Background: Before joining ukactive Rachel worked as a Project Coordinator for a Social Enterprise, providing research and administrative support while completing a Master's degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice at the University of London, Birkbeck. As an undergraduate Rachel studied Anthropology and Law at the London School of Economics.
