The physical activity facilities forum will return for its fifth consecutive year, on the 3 and 4 October, bringing together professionals responsible for developing sport, leisure and physical activity facilities.

‘Revolutionising active places and spaces’ is the theme of this year’s forum which has been created to meet the needs of those delivering physical activity facilities in sport, leisure recreation and play. The complimentary to attend event brings together operators, local authorities, school leaders, project managers, architects, contractors and other senior level professionals looking to enhance their schemes and improve their supply chain.

The latest Sport England research shows that activity habits are changing; walking, fitness and adventure activities are increasing in popularity, while traditional sports like football and cycling are declining. The forum is the ideal place to learn how to tap into the nation’s changing activity habits and encourage people of all backgrounds to become physically active.

Over one-and-a-half days, delegates will benefit from a tailored schedule of one-to-one meetings in a professional yet informal environment. The immersive nature of the event allows delegates to focus on the meeting and networking activities leading to better, more memorable and meaningful relationships.

The forum’s CPD-certified seminar programme shares the latest thinking and best practice in physical activity facilities including the latest innovations in sport, play, recreation and leisure.

This year’s include Charles Johnston, Executive Property Director, Sport England, who will be looking at the impact of active environments, Mark Davies, Sports Capital Strategy Manager, Ian Knott, Sport Experience Manager, Loughborough University, and Nick Hounsfield, founder of The Wave, the UK’s first inland surfing lake.
